Today I went on a date - with my son!

Milo and our supposedly 'shared' sausage from the Christmas Market

For Christmas this year my aunt was kind enough to send me a bit of money to treat myself to something with. Since opening the card I have been pondering as to what to spend it on and unlike has had to happen in the past, I was determined to actually use it for a treat rather then put it towards bills, travel costs or anything of the like. There are of course lots of options: clothes for if when I lose the baby weight, a massage, something for the apartment. So many options. What I decided to spend it on in the end though was a date. A date with my little boy. I couldn't think of anything that would be better. A special day for just us two before the baby comes. So, this morning, we made our way on the bus down to Potsdamer Platz and wandered through the Christmas Market that is still there. We 'shared' a Bratwurst and chips (although I quickly discovered that Milo's version of 'sharing' today meant I was allowed two ''very small'' bites!!!) followed by a Nutella covered waffle Mmmmmmm.

We then headed over to the Cinestar cinema where they show films in their original language and watched 'Wreck it Ralph'. I must admit that I wasn't particularly bothered about seeing the film and didn't think it would have any extra special appeal to Milo but I so saviour our trips to the cinema together and I don't know how often we will get the chance to have them once the baby is here. We both ended up enjoying it and had a good old snuggle together throughout, as much as a child and a mum with a massive belly can and it was lovely.

I may not be dating any adults for a long time to come but I sure did enjoy my date with my little man. That's more than enough for me right now.
