Introducing baby Alfie...

A week late but oh-so-perfect. Introducing little Alfie, baby brother to my Milo. This will just be a quick post, birth story and more info will come with time, but I know a lot of you have been waiting for this little fella to arrive just as I was!

Alfie was born at 5.32am after 11 1/2 hours of contractions. He weighed in at 3510kg and is 50cm in length. We came home from the hospital shortly after the birth and are both recovering well.

  11. Congratulations! He looks perfect. Alfie is a lovely name as well, totally British. Is that because you and the father are English or just because youre a fan of the film? Jude or Mr Caine?

    1. Thank you, yes, it is very British and suits him down to the ground. It's not to do with the film, it just felt right. His middle name is Finnian as in Finn.

  12. can't believe you were writing a post the day your munchkin no 2 was born! jeez where did ya get the energy? did you mix some super heroine powder into those frozen meals you made, and if so where did you source the stuff?

Anyway -- huge congrats to sweet lil Alfie. ENJOY those special days. And extra special greetings to the new big brother.

  14. Oh, he's absolutely gorgeous and you are looking in super shape! Great name too. Well done - sending you many congratulations. Have loved reading the updates on your pregnancy (now 29 weeks along myself) and it's SO good to see him and you happily together post-birth. I found your comments on pregnancy (and on the birth of Milo) very helpful and when you are ready will enjoy reading Alfie's birth story too. But no rush!
