Tutorial: How to make your own 'Taggy'

I've been pretty bored today stuck in a slump after my rather hyper day yesterday. I decided to get myself out of my funk with a little sewing and I decided to attempt my first ever 'Taggy'. It turned out that these are pretty darn easy to make and so I thought I'd make a little tutorial for any of you who may also fancy giving this a go. If you do make one inspired by this tutorial, please do let me know and feel free to share a photo of yours on my Workingberlinmum Facebook page.

Step 1: You can make the 'Taggy' any size you want. I simply used a piece of A4 paper for my pattern and folded it over to make it the size I wanted.

Materials needed:
fabric (you can use either the same print for both sides or two different prints)
pins
ribbon ( I used 4 pieces on each side so enough for 16 pieces if you are doing the same)
scissors
sewing machine

I hope you enjoy making your very own 'Taggy'. You can check out my other tutorials here:

  1. Wow! that is so easy. I´m going to visit a friend next month who is pregnant and this would be a perfect little pre-baby gift. Thanks for the great instructions.

    1. It really is isn't it?! Aw that's lovely. A handmade gift always adds that special touch I think. I'm sure she'll love it.

    1. I'm definitely getting there with the basics but don't get me started on sewing bias tape, that was an utter failure ;)
